CHAPTER SEVEN

Keturah

The morning after, Keturah had spent the night with Mychal. It was a wondrous experience for her. She woke up feeling rested in his big, soft, fluffy bed. She awoke curled up against his naked body. She couldn't have been happier. That was until she looked at her phone.

She had been awoken by a buzzing on the table beside her head. Before they had gone to bed, she had taken out her phone from her purse to charge it. Pulling it from the charger, she opened it up to look at the missed calls and messages. She frowned. There were not one, but six missed calls. There were also seventeen missed text messages. Savannah had called. The hospital had called and texted. There was a desperate need for her this morning. She sighed. Getting up from the bed, Mychal stirred.

"What's wrong, sweetheart?" He asked. He could tell she was not in a happy mood after seeing her phone.

She gave a sigh and a shake of her head. "I have to go to work. Would you mind giving me a ride home?"

"Of course not. Let me grab some clothes and we can head back to your home. I wouldn't want you to let so many people down by not going in."

She smiled gently. Gathering the dress and bra from the night before, she placed the bra in her purse then slipped her dress back on. It wasn't long before he was driving her back home.

It wasn't as long a drive as before. He thought it was getting quicker even though it still took two hours to get her home. Kissing him before she got out of the car, she quickly hurried inside the house to shower and change for work. Mychal had already left by the time she came back out to go to work. She couldn't help but feel his hands on her body still. The way he kissed her and the way he held her. It made her tingle. She liked the tingle.

Making her way into the office, Keturah wore a smile on her face. She hadn't felt this way in years and Savannah could tell something was different. It wasn't in a bad way, though. It was a good thing or so she could imagine. Keturah was walking around humming. When was the last time she ever hummed?

Savannah smirked as she bumped her body shoulder first into Keturah. "What made you so happy? You never seem to like coming in on an off day before."

Keturah gave a smile as she blushed in her cheeks. "I met someone… and I liked it.."

Savannah gasped. "It?! Oh my God... Do you mean.. Keturah! Tell me everything!" Savannah giggled. Keturah followed suit as she gave a nod of her head.

"Yeah. We had mind-blowing sex last night. It's where I was this morning when you called." Keturah's face was turning into a cherry color.

"Lord. I take it he was good. Was it worth it? Is he hot? Does he have a friend?" Savannah laughed.
